Peer Mediation
A core group of students are trained in peer mediation to help students manage conflicts and disagreements. There are many benefits to our peer mediation program such as the development of problem-solving skills, socio-emotional education, improved peer relations, leadership development, an increase in self-esteem, and the ability to transfer mediation skills to a variety of settings including family and neighborhood conflicts, resume’s, and applications.
Problem Solving Circles
An essential process for creating a positive learning environment and school culture. Circles may be used to strengthen and develop community, resolve social problems, and respond when harm occurs.
Proactive Circles, Responsive Circles, Staff Circles.
Restorative Conferencing
Conferencing will be used when a situation with a student or family is at an elevated state and peer mediation is not appropriate. This can be used for confidential matters, violent interactions, and school code of conduct violations.
Bullying Prevention Program
Most students are affected by it. Bullying prevention and early detection program for students and staff to quickly address bullying and prevent future occurrences. Early detection is key to your student’s safety and welfare. Our program gives students the tools to easily and confidentially request an appointment with our RP director to talk about and develop a plan to address the bullying situation that is occurring. All plans are created in conjunction with the initiating student and other trusted and important adults that need to be involved.
